A technology publishing company from the UK. The client operates the market leading enterprise technology publishing brands, The Register, Next Platform, Blocks and Files and Devclass. These publishing brands provide audiences with unique news and stimulating perspectives on enterprise technology that matters today and into the future.

Role Context

• You will be responsible for crafting user-friendly, high-performance websites using vanilla JavaScript.
• You will optimize website code and assets for speed and efficiency, ensuring quick load times and smooth interactions.
• You will implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic to the website.
• You will determine the structure and design of web pages, striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
• You will debug and resolve issues related to JavaScript functionality to maintain smooth user interactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance and user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and address potential bugs or performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and consistency.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in web development, building performant websites, and implementing successful SEO strategies.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
• Good knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.
• Good knowledge of SEO principles.
• Good knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Problem-solver, proactive, and with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with less supervision because the other team members are located in the UK.
